ALPAS RFID Extension is a Chrome extension designed to securely control RFID readers connected to a user's local computer from an internal, organization-managed web-based library or asset management system.

The extension communicates with locally installed RFID vendor software to enable reading and writing RFID tag data from RFID hardware physically connected to the user's machine.

• This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
• All network communication is limited to user-controlled local services running on the user's own machine (e.g. localhost or 127.0.0.1).
• The extension does not access arbitrary external websites or remote services.
• No data is transmitted to third-party or external servers.
