Hover over any Instagram video and a sleek frosted-glass control bar appears automatically — no clicks, no setup, no page refresh. Move your cursor away and it disappears cleanly, keeping the view distraction-free.

FEATURES

🎛️ Progress scrubber
Drag to any point in the video with a smooth progress bar. Current time and total duration update live as you scrub.

⚡ Speed popup
Click the speed button to pick your playback rate from a clean popup — 0.5×, 0.75×, 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 1.75×, or 2×. No more cycling blindly through options one click at a time.

🔊 Volume popup
Tap the volume percentage to open a vertical slider. Adjust volume independently of your system settings — without having to unmute first.

⌨️ Keyboard shortcuts
Control every video without touching the mouse:
  Space / K — Play & Pause
  ← / → — Seek ±5 seconds
  ↑ / ↓ — Volume ±10%
  M — Mute / Unmute
  , / . — Speed −0.25× / +0.25×
  F — Fullscreen
  P — Picture-in-Picture
Shortcuts can be turned off entirely from the popup if you prefer mouse-only control.

🔁 A-B Loop
Mark a start point (A) and an end point (B) to loop a section indefinitely. Perfect for replaying a move, a detail, or a moment you want to study closely.

⧉ Picture-in-Picture
Float the active video in a small overlay window so you can keep watching while you browse the rest of the page or switch tabs.

📷 Frame capture
Save the current frame as a full-resolution PNG with one click — no cropping, no screenshotting.

🔲 Compact mode
Collapse the bar to a minimal single-row view — progress bar and core playback controls only — for a cleaner experience.

💾 Persistent settings
Your preferred speed, volume, mute state, and display options are remembered across page loads and new videos. Set them once from the popup and they apply everywhere, automatically.

PRIVACY

Cue for Reels collects no data whatsoever. It does not track your activity, record what you watch, or communicate with any server. All preferences are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and never leave your browser.
