About

NoteVis turns long webpages into organized notes.

Articles, documentation, and course readings take time to get through. NoteVis reads the page you're on and produces a short summary, a handful of key points, and a plain-language glossary of important terms — so you can grasp the material quickly and keep a record of it.

HOW IT WORKS

Open any article and click the NoteVis icon. Choose "Analyze page" to summarize the whole page, or highlight a passage first and choose "Analyze selection" to focus on just that part. Results open in a side panel with separate tabs for the Summary, Key Points, Glossary, and Raw extracted text.

SAVE AND ORGANIZE

Sort your notes into folders named after your courses or projects. Search your saved notes, reopen them anytime, copy them, or download them as Markdown to use elsewhere.

FEATURES

• One-click analysis of the current page, or summarize a selected passage
• Clean extraction that skips menus, footers, sidebars, and cookie banners
• Summary, Key Points, Glossary, and Raw views in a tidy side panel
• Folders for your notes, with search, copy, and Markdown export
• Light, dark, and system themes — keyboard-friendly throughout

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

NoteVis runs entirely on your device. The page content you analyze and the notes you save stay in your browser's local storage. There's no account to create, no server, no analytics, and no tracking — nothing you read is ever sent anywhere. The summarizer is built in and runs locally, so it works offline and needs no API key.

Free, lightweight, and ready to use the moment you install it.
