About

GAFix is a lightweight Chrome extension that fills in the small but painful gaps in the Google Tag Manager UI. If you work in GTM every day, you'll feel the difference immediately.

WHAT IT DOES

- Tag ID badges on every tag
  GTM hides numeric Tag IDs everywhere. GAFix adds a clean "Tag ID: 47" chip next to every tag in the list. Click any chip to copy the ID to your clipboard.

- Active vs. Paused counts
  See at a glance how many tags are active and how many are paused — right above the tag list. Counts update live as you filter or search.

- Fast in-page search
  Search the tag list by Tag ID or name instantly. No more scrolling through hundreds of tags.

- Hide paused / Hide active toggles
  Two one-click checkboxes let you filter the list down to just the tags you care about.

- Tag ID chip on tag detail
  When you open any tag, GAFix shows the Tag ID right next to the tag name — click to copy.

- Copy Container ID anywhere
  A tiny copy button sits next to your "GTM-XXXXXXX" header on every GTM page. One click, copied.

- Auto-default to "ALL" pagination
  GAFix sets your tag list pagination to "ALL" so you can search across every tag in one go.

WHY IT EXISTS

Tag IDs are referenced in API calls, audit spreadsheets, change logs, and tickets — but GTM makes you click into a tag and look at the URL to find one. GAFix puts the IDs in front of you, makes them copyable, and adds the search and counts the UI should have had from day one.

PRIVACY

GAFix runs only on tagmanager.google.com. It does not send your data anywhere. It does not use analytics. It only reads the page you are already looking at and stores a single pagination preference in your browser's local storage. No accounts, no logins, no servers.
