YouTubeBuddy automates the repetitive multi-click workflows inside YouTube Studio, so you can focus on making content instead of managing it.

── CURRENT FEATURES ──

▸ Add Subtitle Language — Single Video
Open any video in YouTube Studio, select a target language, and click Add Language. The extension handles every click inside the subtitle editor automatically.

▸ Add Subtitle Language — Entire Channel (Bulk Mode)
Navigate to your channel's Videos, Shorts, or Live tab, select a language, and let the extension process every video one by one. Runs entirely unattended.

▸ Smart Skip Cache
Already-processed videos are remembered across runs. Re-running bulk mode after a partial run picks up exactly where it left off — no duplicates, no wasted time.

▸ Long Video Mode
For channels with long-form content (30+ minutes), Long Video Mode extends translation timeouts to 5 minutes so YouTube has enough time to process large subtitle tracks without errors.

▸ Adjustable Delay
A configurable pause between bulk videos (30–60 seconds) reduces load on YouTube's servers and keeps the automation stable.

▸ Run History
Every single and bulk run is logged with per-video results — how many were added, skipped, or failed — so you always know what happened.

── HOW IT WORKS ──

YouTubeBuddy works entirely inside YouTube Studio through DOM automation. It does not make any external network requests, does not collect any data, and does not require any API keys or additional account permissions. Everything runs locally in your browser.

── REQUIREMENTS ──

• A YouTube Studio account
• Set your channel audience to "Not made for kids" at the channel level (or enable the automatic option in Settings — the extension can handle this for you)
• Set your Channel Language in Settings before the first run

── SETUP ──

1. Install the extension
2. Open the Settings tab and set your Channel Language and Default Add Language
3. Navigate to YouTube Studio and open a video (or your channel content page for bulk mode)
4. Click the YouTubeBuddy icon and select your target language

── PERMISSIONS ──

• activeTab — to interact with the currently open YouTube Studio tab
• scripting — to run the automation inside YouTube Studio
• storage — to save your settings and run history locally in your browser
• Access to studio.youtube.com only — the extension has no access to any other website
