Click the toolbar icon or press a keyboard shortcut (⌘⌃4 on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+4 on Windows/Linux). A quick-actions card appears right on the page so you can copy, save, or edit without ever leaving your tab.

📜 FULL-PAGE CAPTURE
Press ⌘⌃5 / Ctrl+Shift+5 (or use the card button) and Snappy auto-scrolls the page and stitches one tall, full-resolution screenshot. Works on app-style pages that scroll in an inner panel (admin consoles, dashboards), and removes repeating sticky headers automatically.

🕑 BUILT-IN TIMESTAMP
Every capture can carry the exact date and time it was taken, with six formats and free placement anywhere on the image. Perfect for audits, compliance evidence, and support tickets.

Snappy remembers where every element sat on the page when you captured it. In the editor, hover the screenshot to highlight real elements, click to grab one as its own image, or copy its exact text straight from the capture. No OCR, no retyping.

⚡ LIVE EDITOR
Press ⌘⌃6 / Ctrl+Shift+6 (or right-click the page) and Snappy's tools open on the live page itself. Hide any element behind a blackout, pixelate, or blur patch BEFORE it ever enters a screenshot, a recording, or a screen share. Drop arrows, boxes, labels, and numbered steps right on the page, or pull any element out as a cropped image or its exact text. Capture from there and the patches are baked into the pixels and the hidden text is scrubbed from the capture's element map, so it can't resurface through gallery search or pick & pull.

💾 SAVE REDACTIONS PER SITE (NEW)
Hit Save in the live editor and Snappy remembers the redactions you placed on a page, then reapplies them automatically the next time you open it, with no flicker before the page paints. Perfect for dashboards and admin tools you screen-share often. This is opt-in, off by default, and stored on your device only; manage or remove saved pages anytime from the gallery's "Saved redactions" tab, or turn the whole feature off in settings.

A clean settings page with quick save mode (captures download instantly, no card, no editor), default watermark and export format, and custom filename patterns with {site}, {date}, {time}, and {title} tokens.

🛡️ EVIDENCE MODE
Made for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and audit evidence. Turn it on and every capture is stamped with the full page URL, the exact date, time, and timezone (ISO 8601), and who captured it. The stamp label is yours to set: EVIDENCE, EXHIBIT, AUDIT, or your ticket prefix. Verify "captured by" against your browser's signed-in Google account (read locally, never transmitted) and the stamp and manifest mark it as verified. An optional integrity manifest bundles each download into a single .zip containing the image and a .evidence.json with a SHA-256 fingerprint. Anyone (your auditor included) can drop the bundle on our public verifier page and confirm the image is unchanged, right in their browser with nothing uploaded. Evidence captures are never cropped, so the context auditors need stays intact.

🖼️ OPTIONAL GALLERY
Want to keep your recent shots? Turn on the Gallery (off by default) and Snappy saves your last 10, 25, or 50 captures, on your device only, where you can re-edit, copy, save, or delete any of them.

🔍 SEARCH INSIDE YOUR SCREENSHOTS
The gallery search looks through the actual page text recorded with each capture, not just sites and titles. Type "invoice 4821" and find the screenshot that contains it, with the matching text shown under the card. No OCR, no cloud indexing; the text was recorded at capture time and never leaves your device.

🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Snappy can only see a tab at the moment you trigger a capture (activeTab). No browsing history access, no servers, no analytics, no account. Everything stays on your machine. By default only your latest capture is kept; the gallery is strictly opt-in and strictly local.
