Changelog
- May 1, 2026description
Tab Out replaces your new tab page with a dashboard of everything you have open, grouped by domain. FEATURES • Every tab at a glance, grouped by domain on a clean grid • Homepages group pulls Gmail inbox, X home, YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub homepages into one card for easy cleanup • Close tabs with a satisfying swoosh + confetti burst • Duplicate detection flags when the same page is open twice, with one-click "Close duplicates" • Click any tab title to jump to it across Chrome windows • Save for later — bookmark tabs to a checklist before closing them • Open all / Clear all bulk actions for your reading list and archive • Localhost groups show port numbers next to each tab • Dark mode — follows your system preference, with a manual toggle • Keyboard accessible — tab through everything, Enter to focus, Space to trigger actions PRIVACY Tab Out runs entirely on your machine. No server, no account, no analytics, no data sent anywhere. Saved tabs live in chrome.storage.local. The only external request is for favicons, which are fetched from DuckDuckGo's public icon service (privacy-friendly — DDG doesn't track which extension asks for an icon). KEYBOARD SHORTCUT Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on Mac) opens Tab Out from anywhere.
