  Outlier Finder spots the videos that outperform their channel's average, right inside YouTube. No API key. No account needed. Just install and go.
  WHAT IT DOES
  Every video on YouTube gets an outlier score showing how it performed compared to what that channel normally gets. A 3x means the video earned 3 times the channel's typical views for that time period.
  Scores load automatically on the homepage, channel pages, and search results. No clicking required.
  WHAT TO LOOK FOR
  Anything over 2x is worth studying. These are the topics, thumbnails, and titles that broke through for that creator. Use them to inform your own content strategy.
  Score tiers:
  
  10x+ Mega outlier
  5-10x Hot performer
  2-5x Above average
  1-2x Normal
  Below 1x Underperformed
  
  A gold star (*) next to a score means the channel's median views exceed its subscriber count. The algorithm is actively pushing that channel's content.

  HOW IT WORKS
  The extension fetches each channel's public video history and calculates a rolling median based on videos uploaded around the same time period. Recent videos are compared against recent performance. Older videos are compared against what the channel was doing back then. This means scores stay accurate even for channels that have grown significantly.
  No YouTube API key is required. Scores are calculated locally in your browser. Anonymous, aggregated outlier data is contributed to the moreoften.io outlier database to help the creator community identify trending content patterns.

Outlier Finder is a free YouTube research Chrome extension that scores every video by comparing its views to the channel's rolling median, highlighting the topics, thumbnails, and titles that broke through.   HOW IT WORKS
  
  The extension calculates an outlier score for each YouTube video: a 5x means the video earned 5 times the channel's typical views for that time period. Scores use a backward-looking rolling median so they stay accurate even for channels that have grown significantly. A 2x from two years ago reflects what was actually above average back then, not today. This is what separates a real YouTube analytics extension from raw view counts.
