Your browser is full of tabs you meant to read. Vaelith turns those saves into a private, searchable knowledge base — with AI summaries, a living graph, and chat that actually knows what you’ve bookmarked. Everything lives on your device. No account. No cloud library. No telemetry by default.

Capture anything, instantly

Save pages from the toolbar popup, side panel, right-click menu, or Alt+Shift+S. Deep Save lets you preview, edit the title, tune tags, and pick collections before you commit. Duplicates are caught automatically.

AI that stays on your machine

When Chrome Built-in AI is available, Vaelith generates on-device summaries and smart tags as you save — without uploading page content to a server. Prefer your own provider? Bring your own API key (optional). Keys stay in chrome.storage.local and are only sent to the provider you choose.

Find it again — even when you forget the exact words

Hybrid search blends fuzzy matching, full-text search, and semantic similarity (local embeddings). Ask natural-language questions and jump straight into Chat with the same query.

On Google, DuckDuckGo, and Kagi, Vaelith can surface matching bookmarks at the top of your results — so you stop rediscovering the same article three months later.

See how your knowledge connects

Explore an interactive graph of bookmarks, tags, collections, and similarity links. Draw relation edges (contradicts, builds upon, alternative, prerequisite). Scrub a temporal timeline to see how your interests evolved.

Highlight like it’s yours

Select text and press Alt+H. Highlights sync to your library and reappear when you revisit the page — with margin notes on hover.

Remember what matters
Enroll bookmarks in spaced repetition (SM-2). Auto-generate flashcards from highlights when you want to actually retain what you read.

Your data, your rules
Import from Chrome bookmarks or HTML/JSON exports. Export everything — JSON, Markdown, or an Obsidian vault. Erase all data anytime from Settings. Reading progress, chat history, embeddings, and highlights included.

Privacy first

Requirements
Chrome 138+ recommended for Built-in AI features (summaries, chat). Semantic search uses on-device embeddings. Works without AI — capture, organize, search, graph, and export still run locally.
