About
InPolicy is a real-time policy enforcement assistant for Legal, Compliance, and regulated teams. It requires an active InPolicy account — the extension is the writer-facing surface of the InPolicy platform, where General Counsel and compliance leads author and version the policies it enforces. If you do not have an InPolicy account, please install only if your employer has provisioned one for you. Most customers deploy InPolicy via managed-device policy; individual Legal and Compliance professionals may also sign up directly at https://inpolicy.ai. What it does As you write, edit, or review text in editable fields and documents, InPolicy quietly checks it against your organization's policies and flags wording that could create legal, compliance, or reputational exposure. For each match you get a one-click suggested rewrite or redaction that preserves your meaning. Works wherever you author content — email, documents, web forms, internal tools — not just one app. Explains which policy was triggered and why, with an editable suggested rewrite. Stays out of your way when nothing is wrong — no popups, no interruptions, no false alarms from ordinary writing style. Pairs with the InPolicy web app where your Legal team authors, versions, and deploys the policies that drive the extension. Who uses it General Counsel and compliance leads who want their policies enforced in-the-moment, not just documented. Regulated teams (public companies, finance, healthcare, law firms) preventing quiet-period violations, MNPI slips, privileged-communication leaks, or harassment exposure. Sales, HR, and marketing teams whose written output is high-volume and high-risk — typically deployed by IT as a managed extension. Privacy-first design Matches are private to you. InPolicy does not report individual-user activity to your employer, your manager, or anyone else. Product analytics about violations (which policies fire, how often) are aggregated and not linked to individual users. The extension reads the text of content you are actively authoring, editing, or reviewing — and nothing else. It does not read content you aren't working on, other people's messages, page content you are only viewing, URLs, or your browsing history. Password fields, credit-card fields, and one-time codes (2FA) are explicitly filtered out and never read or transmitted. Data is never sold, and never used to train general-purpose AI models. How it works Sign in with your InPolicy account (provisioned by your employer, or self-serve at https://inpolicy.ai). Start writing, editing, or reviewing in any editable field or document. InPolicy underlines text that matches one of your organization's policies. Click a highlight to see the policy, the reason, and a suggested rewrite. Learn more at https://inpolicy.ai.
