Video URL Finder

About

Video URL Finder is a lightweight tool for developers and QA testers. It detects
the video stream URLs that a web page loads — HLS (.m3u8), DASH (.mpd) and MP4 —
and lets you copy them so you can test them in your own player or "From URL"
ingest pipeline.

It is a pure, read-only network observer. It never blocks or modifies any
traffic, never downloads video content, and never sends anything to any server.
Everything stays in your own browser.

HOW IT WORKS
• Open a page with a video and press Play.
• The extension detects the stream URLs the player requests — even playlists
  served without a .m3u8 file extension (detected via Content-Type).
• A small badge on the toolbar icon shows how many were found on the tab.

FEATURES
• This page — a live list of the stream URLs on the current tab, with filters
  for HLS / DASH / MP4 / TS.
• One-click copy — copy a single URL, all the m3u8s, all the mp4s, or everything.
• Check — verify a URL still responds before you use it (alive / dead), or
  Check all at once.
• Collection — a persistent saved list across pages; copy them all or export a
  .txt to feed your testing pipeline.

PERMISSIONS
• Host access (all sites) + webRequest are required to read request URLs so the
  stream URLs can be detected. This is read-only — traffic is never altered.
• Storage keeps your captured and saved URLs locally.
• Tabs is used to track the active tab and reset the list on navigation.

PRIVACY
No data is collected or transmitted. Captured URLs stay in your browser and can
be cleared anytime.
