This extension allows using your smartcard or HSM right from your browser. Common operations includes: key generation, issuance of new certificates, signing & authorization, manipulation of certificates installed in user/system store.
The extension does nothing on its own, rather it makes the functionality available to a webpage that utilizes associated library to perform actions.
The user also has to have a native application that actually receives and processes said requests.
