About

Defeed is a free Chrome extension that blocks distracting websites on a schedule and hides the addictive feeds on YouTube, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, and Facebook — so you can use the sites you need without falling into the rabbit hole. Set your work hours once and Defeed redirects time-sink domains to a clean focus page automatically.

Most blockers force an all-or-nothing choice: either a site is banned or it isn't. Defeed is different — it surgically removes the feed (home recommendations, Shorts shelf, For-You timeline, news feed) while leaving search, profiles, and messaging fully usable. You still get the tool. You just lose the infinite scroll.

What Defeed does
• Hide addictive feeds — toggle off the home/recommendation feed per site: YouTube (home + Shorts), LinkedIn (main feed), X/Twitter (For-You timeline), Reddit (home feed), Facebook (news feed).
• Block distracting websites on a schedule — add any domain to your blocklist and pick the days + hours it's blocked (e.g. work hours 9–5, Mon–Fri). Blocked sites redirect to a focus page during the window.
• Search, profiles & DMs stay usable — Defeed kills the feed, not the whole site.
• Clean, modern dark UI — manage every toggle, your blocklist, and your schedule from one popup.
• Privacy-first & MV3-safe — works with cosmetic CSS + redirect rules only. No tracking, no remote code, no reading your network traffic.

One numeric claim

Hide feeds across 5 major platforms and block up to 250 scheduled domains from a single popup.
