    description
Adds a fast, keyboard‑first way to open a new Copilot chat so you never have to reach for the mouse. Many
Copilot pages don’t provide a dedicated keyboard shortcut for the “New chat” button; this extension fills
that gap by offering a configurable global shortcut (default: Ctrl+Shift+Y on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Shift+Y
on macOS) plus a toolbar button and an on‑page fallback control. Use it to start a fresh conversation
instantly, keep your hands on the keyboard while working, or speed up repetitive workflows.

         Key features
         - One keystroke to open a new Copilot chat (default Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Y).
         - Toolbar button and in‑page overlay button as reliable fallbacks when keystrokes are intercepted.
         - Options page to restrict the extension to specific URL patterns and to configure in‑page hotkey behavior.

         - Lightweight and focused: the extension only simulates the page’s existing “New chat” control and does
not transmit your chat contents anywhere.

         Why it helps
         - Saves time and preserves focus for keyboard‑centric users and power users.
         - Works around pages that lack native shortcuts or where UI elements are hard to reach.
         - Safe and minimal: no external data collection; operation is limited to the pages you allow.

         How to get started
         1. Install and enable the extension.
         2. Optionally open Options to set the target URL pattern and in‑page shortcut.
         3. Press the configured shortcut or click the toolbar/overlay button to open a new chat instantly.
