Easy Translator turns any webpage into a bilingual reading surface. Select any text, click the floating translate button — or right-click and pick "Easy Translator: Translate" — and a clean dark popup appears with the original text and its translation.

KEY FEATURES

• Powered by Google Gemini (defaults to gemini-3.1-flash-lite for fast, low-latency translations)
• Bring your own API key — your key stays in Chrome sync storage, never sent anywhere except Google's official Gemini endpoint
• Per-popup target language — switch the translation language for one popup without changing your default
• Multilingual UI: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English
• Customizable default popup size, target language, and interface language
• Multiple popups can stay open at once; drag to move, resize from the corner
• Context menu and selection-icon entry points

PRIVACY
• No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party tracking
• Selected text is sent only to Google's Gemini API using your own key
• Settings are stored in Chrome sync storage (only synced to your own Google account)

SETUP
1. Click the toolbar icon to open settings
2. Paste your Gemini API key (get a free key at aistudio.google.com/apikey)
3. Pick your interface language and translation target
4. Start translating — select any text on any page

LIMITATIONS
• Chrome system pages (chrome://), the Web Store, and PDF viewer cannot be translated due to browser security restrictions
• Requires a Gemini API key (free tier available)
