GetHumanity.id lets you prove you were the first to create or visit content — using only your fingerprint.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the extension icon on any webpage
2. Tap "Sign this Page"
3. Verify with your device's biometric (fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN)
4. Get a timestamped, tamper-proof certificate

WHAT GETS STORED
Only a one-way SHA-256 hash of the page URL. Your original URL is never stored or transmitted. The hash is irreversible — no one (including us) can recover the original content.

WHAT DOESN'T GET STORED
• Your browsing history
• The actual URLs you visit
• Any biometric data (stays in your device's secure enclave)
• Personal information (no account, no login, no email)

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• Triggered ONLY when you click — zero background activity
• No content scripts injected into any webpage
• Minimal permissions: only reads the active tab URL on click
• All hashing happens locally in your browser before anything is sent
• Biometric verification uses the Web Authentication API (WebAuthn) — your fingerprint never leaves your device
