About

Reddit Thread → LLM exports a Reddit post and its entire comment tree as a structured Markdown (text) file - ready to paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other AI assistant.

Reddit threads are full of useful discussion, but copying one by hand is tedious and the result is messy. This extension grabs the whole thread in one click and formats it so an LLM can actually follow who said what.

What it does:
- Captures the full post - title, body text, author, score, and date - not just the comments.
- Exports the complete comment tree with hierarchical numbering ([1], [1.1], [1.2.1]…) so the reply structure stays clear even as plain text.
- Optionally bundles images (image posts, galleries, and images linked in comments) into a .zip alongside the Markdown, for use with vision-capable models.

Options to keep things focused and within context limits:
- Set a comment limit, from a quick 500 up to as many as the thread has.
- Skip comments below a score threshold, or cap how deep replies go.
- Skip bots like AutoModerator.
- Include or omit authors and scores.

Built to stay out of your way:
- Runs in the background - start an export, close the popup, and keep browsing while it works.
- Shows a live token estimate so you know whether a thread will fit your model's context window.
- Copy to the clipboard or download as a file (.md, or .zip when images are included).

Private by design: everything runs locally in your browser. No account, no API key, no servers - the extension only contacts Reddit, and image hosts if you choose to bundle images. It's free.
