About

Doppel Bridge connects your browser to a small Doppel server running locally on your own machine, so an AI agent (over the Model Context Protocol) can do agentic browsing in the browser you already use, with your real profile, cookies, and logins.

It is built for developers who want their agent to act in a real browser session instead of a separate, empty one. Doppel perceives pages through the accessibility tree and acts with trusted input events, so it is fast and behaves like a normal browser.

Agentic browsing, in your real browser:
- Drives your existing Chrome profile through the chrome.debugger API. No throwaway profile, no re-logging-in.
- Fast: reads the page via the accessibility tree, not screenshots.
- Local: the extension only talks to 127.0.0.1. Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party.

Security first:
- Token-authenticated localhost connection.
- A curated allowlist of DevTools Protocol methods; arbitrary JavaScript is off by default and gated behind an explicit diagnostics opt-in.
- No analytics, no remote code.

Doppel Bridge is the companion to the doppel-mcp server (npm). Install the server, start it, paste the token shown into this extension's options, and your agent is connected.
