Ederest Autopilot turns any Ederest DAP walkthrough into a hands-free run. Upload a PDF or image, the extension extracts the structured data with vision AI, you confirm the mapped values, and Autopilot drives the target web app step by step — clicking, typing, and navigating exactly like a human would.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open Ederest Autopilot from the Chrome toolbar.
2. Log in with your Ederest account and select your organization.
3. Pick an Autopilot-enabled scenario for the page you're on.
4. Upload a source document (PDF, PNG, JPG) — or start with a blank form.
5. Review the auto-filled values. Missing or low-confidence fields are highlighted so you can correct them.
6. Click "Run". Autopilot drives the page step by step with human-like timing, while you watch the live progress feed.

Upload an invoice, purchase order, contract, or any structured document. Vision AI (gpt-4.1) extracts the fields and maps them to the target form — no manual transcription.

Every value is shown with a confidence indicator. You stay in control: edit, override, or fill in anything missing before the run starts.

Autopilot types character-by-character with jittered delays, pauses between steps, and simulates "thinking" pauses — so the target application sees realistic interaction patterns instead of a bot dump.

● Cross-page navigation
Walkthroughs that span multiple pages run end-to-end. The extension follows the flow, waits for elements to appear, and resumes after each navigation.

● Live run feed

HOW SCENARIOS ARE CREATED

Autopilot replays scenarios authored with Ederest Creator and enabled for autopilot mode by your admin. There is no scripting, no recording, and no scraping setup — if it works as a DAP walkthrough, it runs on Autopilot.

PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS

Ederest Autopilot requires the following permissions:

• Active Tab: To interact with the current page and drive the form fields during a run.
• Storage: To securely store your authentication session and run state locally.
• Tabs: To identify the current page URL, follow cross-page flows, and resume runs after navigation.
• Scripting: To inject the automation runtime onto the target page.
• Downloads: To save run reports and exported execution logs locally when you request them.
• Host Permissions (all URLs): To run on whatever web application your DAP scenarios target.

Your uploaded documents are sent to your Ederest backend (api.ederest.com over HTTPS) for field extraction and are not shared with third parties beyond the AI vision provider configured by your organization. Authentication tokens stay in chrome.storage on your machine.
