About

Stop dragging tabs around manually. AutoGroup automatically organizes your tabs into Chrome's native tab groups by category — Dev, Docs, Social, News, Shopping, Entertainment, and more.

Click the extension icon to instantly group all open tabs. Or turn on auto-grouping to sort new tabs as they open.

FEATURES

One-click grouping: Click the icon to group all tabs instantly
Auto-group: Automatically group new tabs as they open
8 built-in categories: Dev, Docs, Communication, Social, Entertainment, Shopping, News, and System
Custom categories: Create your own categories with custom names, colors, and domain lists
Editable built-in categories: Add or remove domains from any built-in category
Duplicate tab detection: Automatically close duplicate tabs when grouping
Preserve user groups: Keeps your manually-created tab groups untouched
Context menu: Right-click the icon for quick actions — group all, ungroup all, collapse, expand
Uses Chrome's native tab groups API — no hacks, no injected scripts
HOW IT WORKS
AutoGroup matches each tab's domain against category rules. GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Vercel go to Dev. Google Docs, Notion, and Figma go to Docs. Slack, Gmail, and Zoom go to Communication. Anything unmatched goes to Other.

You can customize everything — edit domain lists for built-in categories or create entirely new ones with your own rules.

PERMISSIONS
