About
# Overview * This extension is a helper tool for Cmd+number (macOS) / Alt+number (Windows/Linux) tab-switching shortcuts. # How it works * While you hold the Cmd key (macOS) or the Alt key (Windows/Linux), each tab in the current window temporarily displays a numeric prefix such as [1]. * When you release the key, the tab titles instantly return to normal. * This makes keyboard-based tab switching faster and more intuitive. # Key Points * Numbers are shown only while the key is being held down * It works like a live guide—nothing is permanently added to the tab titles * Leaves no visual changes once the key is released # Limitations / Important Notes ## Some tabs cannot receive numbers, including: * Chrome internal pages (e.g., chrome://extensions/) * Pinned tabs ## Certain special or restricted pages * Right after installation, the prefix may not appear on the very first Cmd/Alt press until Chrome fully activates the extension. * Tab numbering may also be skipped if Chrome temporarily restricts access to the tab title for security or technical reasons.
