Watch Twitch and Kick the way they were meant to be - ad-free.

StreamShield is a lightweight extension that automatically blocks ads on Twitch.tv and Kick.com. No userscripts, no uBlock filters, and no complex configuration required. Just install and watch.

    What it does:

    • Blocks pre-roll and mid-roll video ads on Twitch and Kick streams

    • Blocks VOD ads on Twitch and Kick streams

    • Seamlessly restores the stream after ad removal - no black screens

    • Powered by the battle-tested open-source VAFT engine

    Stream Recovery (Watchdog):
Sometimes streams stall after an ad is intercepted. StreamShield’s built-in watchdog monitors your stream in the background and automatically recovers stalled playback- first with a quick pause/play, then a full tab reload if the stream remains unresponsive.

    Conflict Detection:
StreamShield checks for other ad-blocking tools that might interfere with its logic and lets you know in the popup if a conflict is found, ensuring you get the smoothest playback possible.

    Privacy:
StreamShield does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It only activates on Twitch.tv and Kick.com. Storage is used solely to remember your on/off toggle preferences locally on your device.

    Permissions used:

    • storage - saves your enabled/disabled preference locally

    • tabs - lets the watchdog reload or open the stream tab when playback stalls

    What it does
    • Blocks pre-roll and mid-roll video ads on Twitch and Kick live streams

    • Twitch VOD: works to strip stitched ad breaks and reduce VOD ad playback (Twitch changes this often; effectiveness can vary)

    • Seamless recovery: when ads are removed, the player is nudged back to clean playback instead of leaving you on a black screen

    • Powered by VAFT: uses the well-known open-source VAFT approach for Twitch live ad handling, extended with StreamShield’s own layers (VOD, UI, sync-friendly settings)
