Claude.ai has session and weekly limits, but the default UI only tells you the current percentage. Claudewise shows you what you actually need to know:

A small, draggable widget sits on any claude.ai page. Click to expand for your % used and reset countdown; click again to collapse into a discreet dot. Drag anywhere. Auto-adjusts if you're near a screen edge so it never gets cut off.

▸ LIVE TOOLBAR BADGE
Your Chrome icon shows the remaining percentage, color-coded:
• Terracotta — healthy
• Amber — warning
• Red — critical or maxed
When you hit the session limit, the badge switches to a countdown (e.g. "2h") showing when it resets.

PRIVACY FIRST

Claudewise runs entirely in your browser. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry — zero data leaves your device. It reads Claude's own usage API using your existing session, exactly like the claude.ai site does.

Required permissions:
• cookies — to authenticate to Claude's usage API
• storage — to save your settings and activity history locally
• alarms — to schedule periodic refreshes
• notifications — for threshold alerts (optional)
• claude.ai host access — to read your usage


HOW IT STAYS UP TO DATE

Claudewise detects when you send a prompt on claude.ai and fires a small burst of refreshes (at 3s, 9s, and 18s after) to catch Claude's usage counter in near-real-time. A baseline poll every minute keeps things fresh when you're not actively chatting. No API hammering — everything is throttled.
