About
HubTab — Your browser tab collection hub. Too many open tabs, a sluggish browser, and pages you cannot quite bring yourself to close? HubTab saves all tabs in the current window with one click, then closes the original tabs to free up memory while keeping everything easy to find later. Saved tabs live in your local browser database. From the dashboard, you can search, organize, favorite, import, export, reopen, or share them whenever you need. Features - One-click collect: Click the extension icon to save every tab in the current window into a group, then close the original tabs. - Native tab group restore: Preserve Chrome tab group titles, colors, and collapsed states, then restore the original structure when reopening. - Fast search: Search saved tabs by title or URL, with Ctrl+K / Cmd+K for quick access. - Simple organization: Manage groups by Work, Personal, Study, or favorites. - Import and export: Export groups as offline HTML files, or paste link lists to import them back. - Share links: Generate shareable links for a group or your full collection, with optional 4-digit passcode protection. - Overview dashboard: See saved tab counts, popular sites, category distribution, and recent trends. Privacy and permissions HubTab requires no account and no cloud server. Your tab data stays in your local browser by default. It only leaves your device if you choose to use the share feature. HubTab uses browser permissions only for core features: - "tabs": read tab titles and URLs in the current window, close tabs after they are saved, and reopen saved tabs when requested. - "tabGroups": read and restore Chrome native tab group titles, colors, and collapsed states. HubTab does not access your browsing history, bookmarks, or cookies. How to use 1. Click the HubTab icon in your browser toolbar 2. The current window's tabs are saved into a group 3. Use the dashboard to search, organize, export, or share your saved tabs Help Center: https://hubtab.hubgpt.cc/help.html
