About

Noesis is a small reading companion for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.

It helps you keep your place while reading SEP entries on plato.stanford.edu. You can save the current entry, remember your reading position, highlight passages, add notes, and return to them later.

Noesis does not copy or republish SEP articles. You still read the original SEP page on the original website. The extension only stores your own reading data: saved entry links, reading position, selected highlights, colours, and notes.

By default, your data stays local to your browser. If you want backup and sync across browser sessions, you can sign in with an email code. Account sync is optional.

Noesis is unofficial and is not affiliated with Stanford University or the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
