About
OmniScript Inspector is a Chrome DevTools extension designed for Salesforce and Vlocity developers who build and debug OmniScripts and OmniStudio flows. It gives you instant visibility into your OmniScript's runtime state without touching the source code or adding debug statements. ──────────────────────────── FEATURES ──────────────────────────── JSON DATA INSPECTOR Read the live jsonData object from any active OmniScript step directly in DevTools. The data is displayed as a collapsible, syntax-highlighted tree so you can quickly drill into nested objects and arrays. Copy the entire payload to clipboard with one click. ACTIONS MONITOR Track every backend call made by your OmniScript in real time. The Actions tab logs: • Integration Procedures (IP) • DataRaptors (DR) • Remote Actions (RA) • HTTP Callouts Each entry shows the call name, status, execution time in milliseconds, and the full request and response payloads — all expandable inline. MULTI-NAMESPACE SUPPORT Works out of the box across all Vlocity industry verticals and the native Salesforce OmniStudio runtime: • vlocity_cmt — Communications • vlocity_ins — Insurance • vlocity_ps — Public Sector • vlocity_hc — Health & Life Sciences • vlocity_em — Energy & Utilities • vlocity_eb — Employee Benefits • omniscript-step — Salesforce native OmniScript LWC • runtime_omnistudio — New OmniStudio runtime CUSTOM SELECTORS Working with a custom step or a community runtime? Add your own component selectors directly in the panel and they persist across sessions. ──────────────────────────── HOW TO USE ──────────────────────────── Open Chrome DevTools (F12) on any Salesforce page running an OmniScript Navigate to the OmniScript Inspector tab Click Read to inspect the current step's jsonData Switch to the Actions tab to monitor live API calls as you navigate through the OmniScript ──────────────────────────── PRIVACY ──────────────────────────── OmniScript Inspector does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The only data saved locally is your custom selector list (stored on your own device using chrome.storage.local). No data from inspected pages is ever sent to any server. ──────────────────────────── PERMISSIONS ──────────────────────────── Storage — used only to remember your custom selectors between sessions. No other permissions are required.
