Getting started is simple. TalkType uses OpenAI's Whisper model through Groq, a fast AI platform that provides a free API key for transcription.

1. Install TalkType.
    The Welcome Page opens automatically after installation and includes a step-by-step setup guide.

2. Create a free Groq account at console.groq.com.
    You can sign up with email, Google, or GitHub.

3. Open the “API Keys” section inside the Groq dashboard.

4. Click “Create API Key”, give it any name you want (for example: “TalkType”), and press Create.

5. Copy the generated API key.

6. Paste it into TalkType's Welcome Page or Settings page and click Save.

That's it. You can now start voice typing inside any website.

Groq's free tier is generous enough for daily use, including emails, messaging, note-taking, and voice typing.
