About
Fact Checker adds a fact check to any web page. Select any text — a sentence, a paragraph, or a whole article — right-click, and choose Fact-check selection. Fact Checker breaks the passage into its individual claims and gives each one a clear, color-coded verdict, right there on the page. It is the easy, simple way to verify or debunk what you are reading: the check comes to the text, with no copying into another tab and no separate fact-checking website. True or false — and everything in between. Every claim gets one of eight honest verdicts: accurate, inaccurate, partially accurate, misleading, oversimplified, unreliable, unverifiable, or unfalsifiable. A good fact checker does not stop at true or false, because a lot of misinformation is technically true but misleading or oversimplified. Fact Checker names exactly which one, so you can verify the solid claims and debunk the shaky ones. Every verdict comes with the reasoning behind it and any nuance the original text left out. Built to fight misinformation. Misinformation, fake news, and half-true claims spread faster than anyone can check them by hand. Fact Checker puts a fast, skeptical fact check one right-click away, so verifying a claim is easier than sharing it. It runs with a rigorous, anti-sycophancy prompt that is told to be scientific, rational, and skeptical, and specifically not to just agree with the text. Many AI tools bend toward agreeing with whatever you paste in; a real fact checker has to push back and debunk what does not hold up. That is the whole point: to check the claims, not to flatter them. Easy and simple. There is nothing to learn. Highlight text, right-click, read the verdicts — that is the entire workflow. No dashboard, no settings to configure, no copy-paste into a separate site. Fact Checker is designed to be the simplest fact checker you can install: two clicks to check any claim, on any page. Free. The everyday fact check is free — no account, no sign-up, and no API key, and no paywall. Your selected text is sent only to run the check and is never stored; it is forward-and-forget. Fact Checker does not track you, does not run analytics, and does not sell or share any data. It reads a page only when you explicitly ask for a check on your own selection. Use it anywhere. Verify claims in news articles, debunk viral social media posts and fake news, and check facts in emails, newsletters, product pages, and forum threads — anywhere text shows up in your browser. Wherever you would otherwise wonder "is that actually true?", you can fact-check the claim in seconds. Verify a statistic in a press release, or debunk a paragraph a friend forwarded you. Who it is for. Readers who want to fight misinformation, students and researchers checking sources, journalists and editors verifying claims, and anyone tired of not knowing what is true or false online. If you read the news, scroll social media, or get forwarded "facts" you are not sure about, Fact Checker gives you a fast, honest second opinion you can act on. That is exactly what a good fact checker is for. On the page, in your flow. The verdicts appear as a clean overlay panel, one card per claim, color-coded so the misleading and inaccurate claims stand out at a glance. You stay on the page, keep your place, and read a per-claim fact check without breaking your flow. When you are done, close the panel and keep reading. Made for the age of AI-written text. More and more of what you read online is machine-generated, and a confident, well-written paragraph is not the same as a true one. Fact Checker is the fact checker built for that world: it treats every claim as something to verify, not to trust on style alone. Point it at an AI answer, a news story, or a viral post, and it will fact-check each claim, debunk the ones that do not hold up, and flag the misinformation that the polished wording is hiding. No account and no API key — the free fact checker works the moment you install it. Fact Checker will not make the decision for you. It gives you the verdict, the reasoning, and the missing nuance, and you decide what to trust. Install Fact Checker, select any claim, and debunk or verify your first claim in seconds — free, easy, and simple. There is no signup and no learning curve: if you can right-click, you can check facts and fact-check anything — free, and simple enough for anyone.
