About

Kindle Ferry sends PDFs from Chrome to your Kindle in a few clicks.

Open a PDF in Chrome, click the Kindle Ferry extension, and send it to your Kindle email address. Kindle Ferry handles the delivery workflow for you, including large or bloated PDFs that are difficult to send through Amazon’s normal personal-document email flow.

What Kindle Ferry does:

• Detects PDFs in the current browser tab
• Sends PDFs to your configured @kindle.com email address
• Compresses large PDFs for e-ink reading
• Optionally converts PDFs to EPUB for improved text reflow
• Splits oversized files automatically when needed
• Shows send status while your document is processed
• Uses Google sign-in so your settings stay tied to your account

How it works:

1. Open a PDF in Chrome.
2. Click the Kindle Ferry extension icon.
3. Sign in and enter your Kindle email address.
4. Click Send.
5. Kindle Ferry processes the file and delivers it to your Kindle library.

Kindle setup note:

Before documents can arrive on your Kindle, Amazon requires you to approve the sender email address in your Amazon “Approved Personal Document E-mail List.” Kindle Ferry shows the sender address during setup.

Privacy and data:

Kindle Ferry only processes documents you choose to send. Uploaded PDFs are used to process and deliver the document to your Kindle. Google sign-in is used for authentication, and your Kindle email/settings are saved so you do not need to re-enter them each time.

Free and paid usage:

Kindle Ferry includes a free monthly sending allowance. A paid plan is available for higher usage.

Ideal for:

• Reading research papers on Kindle
• Sending reports, manuals, and long PDFs to e-ink devices
• Reducing large PDF file sizes before Kindle delivery
• Converting PDFs to a more Kindle-friendly format
• Moving web PDFs to your Kindle without downloading and emailing files manually

Kindle Ferry is designed to make “send this PDF to my Kindle” fast, reliable, and simple.
