⚙️ THREE WAYS TO RUN THE AI — YOU PICK
• On‑device — Chrome's built‑in AI (Gemini Nano) runs locally. Free, private, works offline; your text never leaves your computer.
• Bring your own key — OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) or OpenRouter. One key, hundreds of models. Your text goes straight from your browser to the provider you chose — ColibotAI has no server and never sees or stores it.
• Local / custom model — point ColibotAI at any OpenAI‑compatible endpoint (Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp, or your own gateway) and run open models free, offline and fully private.
No model is forced on you — the Settings page even shows price/performance hints so you can pick what fits.

• Save any result as a searchable note (original text + result + source page + date).
• Search, annotate and organize them in a side panel.
• Export / import everything as JSON. Stored locally, never uploaded.

♻️ SMART, TOKEN‑SAVING REUSE
Re‑running text that's almost identical to a saved note reuses that answer instead of calling the AI again — so you don't spend tokens (or time) twice. The similarity threshold is configurable.

• No account, no tracking, no cookies, no analytics.
• Your API key is stored locally (chrome.storage.local) and never synced — with an optional session‑only mode.
• On‑device and local modes keep your text on your machine.

🚀 GETTING STARTED
1. Install ColibotAI.
2. In Settings, choose your engine: on‑device (no key needed), your own provider key, or a local/custom endpoint.
3. Select text on any page and pick Translate / Summarize / Explain from the toolbar — or open Quick Translate.
4. Save results to Notes, and tweak languages, shortcuts and theme to taste.
