About
Full Description: TabGrid transforms your new tab page into a clean, organized bookmark dashboard built on a fully customizable grid system. Unlike traditional bookmark managers that force you into rigid lists or fixed-size tiles, TabGrid gives you complete control over placement and sizing. Drag any bookmark to the exact position you want on the grid. Resize tiles from compact 1×1 icons to large 3×2 cards that display titles, domains, and descriptions. Arrange everything the way that makes sense to you. Key Features Grid-based layout with free placement. Every bookmark snaps to a precise grid position, keeping your dashboard clean and aligned while giving you the freedom to place items anywhere you like. Multiple tile sizes and layouts. Choose from five tile sizes (1×1, 2×1, 3×1, 2×2, 3×2) and three icon layouts (icon only, icon on the left, icon on top) to create the visual hierarchy that works best for your workflow. Drag and drop. Click and drag any bookmark to reposition it instantly. A real-time preview indicator shows exactly where the tile will land, with collision detection to prevent overlaps. Customizable grid. Adjust the number of columns and rows, cell size, and spacing between tiles. Make the grid dense and compact or spacious and minimal — whatever suits your screen and preferences. Import from Chrome bookmarks. Browse your existing Chrome bookmark folders and selectively import any bookmarks directly into your grid with a single click. Full backup and restore. Export your entire setup — all bookmarks, positions, sizes, layouts, and grid settings — to a single JSON file. Import it on another device or browser to restore your dashboard exactly as it was. Right-click context menu. Quickly edit a bookmark's details, cycle through tile sizes, or delete a tile without opening any dialogs. Keyboard friendly. Press Escape to close any open modal or menu instantly. Privacy TabGrid stores all data locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No data is sent to any external server. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Your bookmarks stay yours. Permissions Explained TabGrid requests only the minimum permissions needed to function. The "bookmarks" permission allows importing from your Chrome bookmark library. The "storage" permission saves your grid layout and settings locally. The "favicon" permission displays website icons on your tiles. The "new tab" override replaces the default new tab page with your TabGrid dashboard.
