Akiya hunter shows the USD equivalent of every yen price on Suumo, Homes, At Home, and Japan-Property. The conversion appears as a small green pill right underneath each price, so you don't have to click anything, hover anything, or copy-paste into a currency converter.

WHAT IT HANDLES

Japanese real estate uses a few different price formats. Akiya Hunter handles all of them:

8,980万円 becomes $574,000 USD
1億2,500万円 becomes $799,000 USD
380万円 becomes $24,000 USD (yes, that's a real akiya price)
12.8万円/月 becomes $818 USD/month (automatically detects as monthly rent)
¥35,800,000 becomes $228,900 USD

EXCHANGE RATE

The live USD to JPY rate updates every hour from Frankfurter, which pulls from the European Central Bank. Click the toolbar icon to see the current rate, force a refresh, or turn the extension off if you want to see pure yen for a bit.

No API key. No signup. No account.

PRIVACY

Akiya Hunter doesn't collect anything. It doesn't store anything about you. It doesn't send anything anywhere except a single hourly request to get the exchange rate, which is public data and doesn't include any information about you or what you're browsing.
