About
Web2Elementor helps you convert the page you are viewing into Elementor-compatible import files. The extension is built to speed up the process of recreating existing web pages, HTML layouts, Gutenberg pages, Elementor pages, and visual page sections inside Elementor. Instead of rebuilding everything manually from scratch, you can scan the active browser tab and generate an importable file that can be used as a starting point in Elementor. Web2Elementor supports different conversion methods depending on the source page. When an Elementor page is detected, the extension can use the standard Web2Elementor conversion flow. For other pages, including HTML-based pages or Gutenberg layouts, it can use a visual conversion method that analyzes the rendered structure of the page and creates an Elementor-compatible JSON file. Key features: • Scan the active tab Web2Elementor only checks the current browser tab when you click Scan or start a conversion. • Detect Elementor pages The extension looks for Elementor markers in the current page and enables the appropriate conversion workflow when available. • Convert Elementor pages When an Elementor page is detected, Web2Elementor can generate downloadable Elementor import files through the standard conversion system. • Convert HTML, Gutenberg, and non-Elementor pages For pages that were not built with Elementor, Web2Elementor can use an alternate visual conversion method to create an Elementor-compatible JSON file. • Convert selected page sections You can select a specific part of a page and convert only that section instead of converting the full page. • Capture responsive layout information For visual conversions, Web2Elementor can analyze desktop, tablet, and mobile layout data to help the generated Elementor structure reflect the original page more accurately. • Choose an alternate method when needed Some pages may require a different conversion approach because of custom themes, third-party widgets, complex layouts, scripts, or unusual page structures. In those cases, you can manually choose the alternate conversion method. • Download Elementor import files Depending on the conversion mode, Web2Elementor generates downloadable Elementor-compatible files such as JSON or ZIP files. • Use your Web2Elementor account The extension connects to your Web2Elementor account, checks available credits, and uses the same credit system as the Web2Elementor web app. • Review recent conversions Paid users can view recent converted URLs, rate results, and send feedback when a conversion needs review. How it works: 1. Open the page you want to convert. 2. Open the Web2Elementor Chrome extension. 3. Click Scan. 4. Choose the available conversion method. 5. Generate the Elementor-compatible file. 6. Download the result. 7. Import it into Elementor. Privacy and user control: Web2Elementor only analyzes the active tab after you explicitly click Scan or start a conversion. It does not monitor your browsing activity in the background. When a conversion is requested, the extension may process the current tab URL, page title, rendered HTML, DOM structure, computed CSS, layout information, images, links, and responsive viewport data required to generate the Elementor-compatible output. This data is sent securely to Web2Elementor backend services, where the importable file is generated. Backend responses are treated as data or downloadable files, not as executable code. The extension does not execute remote JavaScript code, does not inject remotely hosted scripts, does not use eval, and does not run conversions without user action. Important note: Web2Elementor is a conversion assistant. The quality of the generated file depends on the complexity of the original page, the source website structure, third-party widgets, scripts, image loading, responsive behavior, and custom CSS. Some generated pages may require manual adjustments inside Elementor. Web2Elementor is designed to save time and provide a strong starting point, not to guarantee a perfect one-click clone for every possible website.
