About

Read manga, manhwa, webtoons, BDs (Bande Dessinée) and comics without leaving the page. The extension detects comic images on reading sites, extracts the text, translates it, and places the translation back over the original artwork so the page stays readable in context. It works as a manga translator, manhua/manhwa translator, webtoon translator, and comic translator in your browser, with support for translation into over 25 target languages.

Why install Comic Translate?
• Translate while reading on the page instead of copying screenshots into another tool
• Works for more than just manga: manhwa, webtoons, western comics, and French BDs too.
• New users can sign up to receive free trial credits and try Comic Translate before subscribing or buying more credits.
• Built for image-based comic pages and speech bubbles
• Overlay translated text directly on top of the original page image
• Export translated results when you want to save your work
• Choose your source and target languages inside the extension
• Edit Translations afterwards
• Translations are cached and automatically displayed for a week

Built for multilingual comic reading
Comic Translate is designed for the full range of comic formats and languages readers actually use online. That includes:
• Japanese manga
• Korean manhwa
• Webtoons

How it works

3. Click 'Enable for this site'
3. Choose your source language, target language, and translation settings
4. Hover over an image on the site and click the translation button to process the current page or all pages.
5. The extension detects the main comic image(s), processes the text, and overlays the translation directly on the page
