About

HTTP Request Recorder captures every fetch and XMLHttpRequest your browser tabs make, organises them by domain and date, and lets you inspect request and response details in a calm dark UI.

KEY FEATURES

• Per-tab recording — click the toolbar icon to start or stop. A REC badge shows on the icon while a tab is being recorded.

• Live previews — requests appear in the history page the moment they go out. Streaming responses (Server-Sent Events) update in real time.

• Three-column history — browse by date, by domain, and by request. Pick a row to see method, status, URL, timing, headers and body in the right panel.

• JSON viewer — handles huge response bodies without freezing the UI.

• Side-by-side compare — pick two requests to the same endpoint and see a row-aligned diff of URL parameters, headers and bodies. Loose mode lets you compare across environments (sandbox vs production) and across path prefixes.

• Token masking — Authorization, Cookie, X-Api-Key and other sensitive headers are masked by default with a per-row reveal toggle.

• Optional Cookie / Set-Cookie capture — browser security normally hides those headers from in-page JavaScript. Tick "Capture extra info" in the popup to additionally record them via chrome.webRequest. Off by default.

• Local-only storage — everything lives in your browser's IndexedDB. No analytics, no telemetry, no remote servers. The extension makes no network calls of its own.

• Domain block list — silence noisy domains from the history without losing other captures.

• Export — save a domain's worth of captures as JSON files inside a single ZIP archive.
