About

WHAT IS IT?
This is a Chrome Extension that allows you to save browser windows, open your saved windows when you choose, and swap your current window with a window from your saved windows (this last feature being the namesake of the extension).

WHY SHOULD I DOWNLOAD IT?
Whether you're writing a research paper, working on a coding project, or just going down an online-shopping rabbit hole, sometimes you really do just need that many tabs open. But having a lot of windows with a bunch of tabs open can make your computer slow (especially if you're using an old ThinkPad, haha).
That's where this extension comes in handy. It makes it easy to save the windows you're working so you can close them to come back to them later. :)
You can swap your current window for a one you have saved whenever you like, or simply save a window and close it, being able to re-open it easily later on.
Aaaaand, this extension uses sync storage, meaning that you can access your saved windows across devices! :D
Just make sure your extensions are synced. Here's a link on how to do that if they're not: https://support.cloudhq.net/how-to-get-chrome-extensions-on-all-your-devices/#:~:text=Open%20Google%20Chrome%20browser,syncchromeextensiondevicessettings.

A FEW NOTES:
It should be noted that swapping a window will automatically save the state of the current window. However, if you simply close a window, it won't update in storage unless you click 'Save' first on that window.
(General Tip: if you ever close a browser window on accident, just go to a different browser window (you can open a new one if you don't have one open) and do the Ctrl+Shift+T command to restore the window you just closed. This is a general browser tip, not just one for this extension. :D )
"Saving a window" refers to the extension saving the ordered list of tabs open in the window at the moment it's being saved.
Saved windows are identified by names that the user gives to them the first time they're saved. Window renaming and removal is supported in the list of saved windows displayed through use of the 'Open...' button.
