About

Stop downloading PNGs and uploading them one by one in Slack settings. EmojiBox for Slack is a tiny browser extension that pushes custom emoji from emojibox.app straight into your Slack workspace — in one click.

How it works
1. Install the extension.
2. Open Slack web in any tab. EmojiBox links every workspace you’re signed into automatically — nothing to configure.
3. Click "Push to Slack" on any emoji or collection at emojibox.app, pick a workspace, and watch them appear in Slack.

Highlights
• One-click upload — push a single emoji or an entire collection.
• Multi-workspace — works with every Slack team you’re already signed into.
• Smart skips — emoji whose names already exist in your workspace are left alone. No overwrites.
• Tiny footprint — Manifest V3, under 20 KB, two permissions (storage + cookies).

Privacy first
Your Slack token never leaves your browser. The extension reads Slack’s api_token from your active session and uses it from its own service worker to talk directly to Slack’s API. EmojiBox’s servers never see it.

Permissions, in plain English
• storage — caches your linked workspaces in session storage so the popup and emojibox.app can show them without re-reading Slack on every click.
• Host access — limited to slack.com (to upload), slack-edge.com / files.slack.com (Slack’s own image CDNs), emojibox.app (the website that triggers a push), and image hosts (to fetch the emoji blob before posting it to Slack’s API).
