Workspace Tools is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• No account or sign-up required
• No data is sent to any external server (except Gemini API calls, which use only your own API key)
• All notes, screenshots, and recordings stay on your device
• Permissions requested are minimal and purposeful:
  - "activeTab" — to capture a screenshot of the current tab
  - "tabs" — to send messages to the content script for camera overlay and sidebar coordination
  - "sidePanel" — to display the UI in Chrome's native Side Panel
