About

CutAI Browser Operator connects your Chrome to your CutAI agent, so the agent can carry out web tasks inside your real, already–logged-in browser — while you stay in control the whole time.

Instead of asking you to copy links, re-log in, or babysit every step, your CutAI agent can open pages, read them, click, type, navigate, and download files directly in a tab you choose. You watch it work in real time, and you can take over or stop it at any moment.

WHAT IT DOES
• Opens and reads pages — extracts page text and interactive elements so the agent understands what's on screen.
• Acts for you — clicks, types, scrolls, and navigates using trusted input.
• Sees when needed — captures a screenshot of the current task tab only when a task needs visual understanding (charts, layout, images).
• Downloads files — when a task you asked for requires it.
• Stays scoped — only operates the specific "task tab" you select. Your other tabs are never touched. Task tabs are grouped into a labeled "CutAI" tab group so you always know what's under agent control.

YOU'RE ALWAYS IN CONTROL
• You see when the agent is acting (an on-page indicator).
• Take over or stop the agent at any time.
• Sensitive pages such as banking and email are blocked by default.
• Nothing happens until you turn on Browser Operator in CutAI and connect your browser.

HOW TO USE IT
1. Install this extension.
2. Sign in to CutAI (studio.cutaihub.com) and enable Browser Operator.
3. Connect your browser (one click from CutAI, or paste the connection code from CutAI Settings into this extension).
4. Ask your CutAI agent to do a web task, and pick the tab it should work in.

REQUIREMENTS
• A CutAI account. This extension is a companion to the CutAI web app and is not functional on its own.

NOTE ON PERMISSIONS
This extension uses Chrome's debugging protocol to send reliable clicks/keystrokes and capture screenshots of the task tab. While the agent is active, Chrome shows a small "started debugging this browser" bar — that's expected. The extension only drives the task tab you choose.

PRIVACY
Page content and screenshots from the task tab you select, plus a CutAI connection token, are sent to CutAI servers only to let your agent understand and complete the task you asked for. We don't sell your data or use it for anything unrelated to this feature. See our privacy policy for details.
