Instagram Downloader adds a clean download button directly to Instagram's interface so you can save any photo or video in a single click — no third-party websites, no copy-paste, no ads.

What you can download
Feed posts — single photos, videos and full carousels.
Reels — both on the home feed and on the dedicated reels page.
Post permalinks (/p/<shortcode>/) — same experience on individual post pages.
Stories — photos and videos from the story viewer.
Carousels — every item in the post is saved at once.
Where the button appears
Feed and permalink posts: in the action bar, right next to the share icon — exactly where you'd expect it.
Reels page: one button per visible reel.
Stories: in the story header, next to the pause / menu controls, so it never overlaps the content.

How it works
The extension listens to Instagram's own media responses as you browse and uses that data to fetch the original files through Chrome's download manager. Photos can also fall back to the image source when no response was captured. Videos always use the original media URL — never a low-quality screen recording.

Permissions
downloads — needed to save files to your computer.
Access to instagram.com — needed to add the download button to Instagram pages.
The extension does not read your messages, does not access other websites and does not send any data to external servers.

Requirements
A Chrome-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc…).
You must be logged into Instagram to download media from private accounts you follow.
