Snipprompt helps you save the prompts you use often and insert them into supported AI chat sites with a simple keyboard shortcut.

Instead of retyping the same project context, coding style, instructions, or writing preferences every time, you can save a prompt once and reuse it whenever you need it.

Press ⌘⇧K on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+K on Windows and Linux to open the prompt picker. Search for the prompt you want, press Enter, and Snipprompt inserts it into the focused chat composer.

Snipprompt is built for people who use prompts repeatedly across their daily work. You can save prompts for code reviews, debugging help, project context, writing and editing, study help, research workflows, and reusable instructions.

Your saved prompts stay organized in one library, so you do not have to copy, paste, or rebuild the same prompt setup every time.


Free Plan: The free plan includes up to 10 saved prompts, local storage on your device, prompt insertion on supported sites, no account requirement, and no trial requirement. For many users, 10 prompts is enough for school, side projects, coding tasks, or everyday writing.


Pro Plan:  Snipprompt Pro is available for users who want more storage and organization. Pro includes unlimited prompts, cloud sync across browsers and devices, folders, and search.

Pricing is $9/month or $79/year.


Privacy

Snipprompt is designed to be private by default. Free prompts are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s local storage. They do not leave your browser. Snipprompt does not read your conversations, responses, or page content. It only inserts the prompt you choose into the focused composer when you use the shortcut. For Pro users, synced prompts are stored encrypted at rest on the Snipprompt sync server.

The extension does not include third-party analytics.

Permissions

Snipprompt only requests permissions needed for core functionality.
activeTab: Finds the focused composer when you use the shortcut.
storage: Saves your prompt library locally.
alarms: Supports background sync for signed-in users.
Host permissions: Limited to supported sites and the Snipprompt sync service.

Keyboard Shortcuts

⌘⇧K / Ctrl+Shift+K: Open the prompt picker
⌘N: Create a new prompt
⌘↩: Save a prompt
/: Focus search
1–9: Insert a prompt by position when search is empty
Esc: Close the picker or go back

You can change the shortcut anytime at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

FAQ

Will my prompts disappear if I uninstall Snipprompt?

Free prompts are stored locally, so they are removed when the extension is uninstalled.

If you use Pro, your synced prompt library remains available. Reinstall the extension, sign in, and your prompts will return. You can also export your prompts from the dashboard.
