About

LocalArchive saves readable pages and selected text directly inside your Chrome profile. It is built for people who want a simple read-it-later archive without a hosted account, tracking endpoint, or proprietary export trap.

What it does:
- Capture the current page from the toolbar button.
- Save selected text from the popup or right-click context menu.
- Search saved pages, selections, domains, and tags in a local library.
- Import Pocket-style CSV exports.
- Export saved items as Markdown, HTML, or JSON backup files.
- Merge duplicate URLs so imports and recaptures do not create clutter.

Privacy model:
LocalArchive stores archive data in local IndexedDB in your browser profile. The MVP does not send captured pages, selected text, search queries, imports, exports, or archive metadata to a backend service. It does not include analytics or advertising code.
