About

## Short Description
Hide scrollbars, go grayscale, block distractions. Focus on what you're reading. One shortcut, instant focus.

## Detailed Description

Reading online is harder than it should be. Scrollbars take up space, bright colors cause eye strain, blue links pull your attention away from the text, ads and sidebars fight for your eyes.

Focus Flow Gray removes all of it with one keyboard shortcut.

### What it does

**Focus Mode (Ctrl+Shift+,)**
One shortcut activates everything at once:
- Scrollbars disappear (scrolling still works)
- Links look like regular text — no blue, no underline (hover to reveal)
- Side panels and top panel appear at screen edges, ready to drag and cover distracting sidebars, ads, or sticky headers
- Works on all pages globally, including Google Translate pages

**Grayscale Mode**
- Turn everything black, white, and gray
- Text stays readable, eye strain drops
- Smooth 0.15s transition

**Side + Top Cover Panels**
- Three resizable panels: left, right, and top
- Drag the inner edge to cover whatever distracts you — sidebars, ads, navigation bars, sticky headers
- Each panel remembers its size per website
- Stays fixed on screen while you scroll

**Remember Reading Position**
- Extension remembers where you stopped reading on each page
- Reload or reopen a tab — it scrolls back to where you left off automatically
- Stores up to 200 pages, removes oldest when full

### Control each feature separately

Right-click on any page to access individual controls:
- Hide / show scrollbar (this tab only, or all tabs)
- Enable / disable grayscale (this tab only)
- Toggle Focus Mode globally (scrollbar + links)
- Toggle side cover panels
- Enable / disable reading position memory

### Who needs this

**If you read long articles, documentation, or blog posts** — Cover the noise on the sides, focus on the column of text in the middle.

**If bright web pages cause eye strain** — Grayscale reduces visual stress during long reading sessions.

**If you use Google Translate to read foreign-language articles** — Focus Mode keeps the Google Translate toolbar out of the way while you scroll.

**If you lose your place when reopening tabs** — Reading position memory brings you right back.

### Technical details

**Per-tab memory** — Each tab tracks its own state. New tabs opened from an active tab inherit settings automatically.

**Fast performance** — Hardware-accelerated CSS filters. Smooth transitions. No layout reflow.

**Works everywhere** — Manifest V3. Compatible with virtually all websites.
