Playable Detective is a lightweight Chrome extension built for creative reviewers, ad ops, and QA engineers who need a fast, reliable way to audit the media inside HTML5 playable creatives.

Open a playable in Chrome — whether it's hosted online or a local .html file — click the extension, and instantly see every image and video the page references, including the ones that are hidden, swapped in via JavaScript, or embedded as base64 data: URLs.

What it finds
- Images from <img> elements
- Videos from <video> and nested <source> elements
- Video poster frames
- Media URLs referenced in CSS background-image
- Both regular URLs and base64 data: URLs
- Hidden assets (display: none, visibility: hidden, opacity: 0, zero-size, or the hidden attribute)
