Flash Translate is built with privacy as a priority.
All translations are performed locally using Chrome's built-in Translator API. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any text or personal data.

⚙️ Requirements

• Chrome 138 or later
• Chrome's Translator API must be enabled (Settings → AI → Translation)

Permissions

• activeTab – Required to read the text you select for translation
• storage – Used to save your language and site preferences
