    description
ClipDesk is a local-first Chrome side panel extension for saving clean research clips from webpages and PDFs.

Open ClipDesk from the toolbar, review the captured page or PDF, add notes and tags, then save the clip to your local library. Saved clips can be searched, reopened, copied as Markdown, or downloaded as Markdown files.

ClipDesk supports selection capture, full-page article capture, metadata-only fallback, and text-based PDF import. Scanned PDFs gracefully fall back when OCR is not available.

Your saved clips, notes, tags, settings, and PDF import metadata stay in your browser-managed local storage. ClipDesk does not include remote analytics, ad tech, or a server account.
ClipDesk is a local-first research clipping extension for saving webpages, PDFs, notes, tags, and source metadata in one private workspace.

Version 0.6.0 is a major workflow upgrade from 0.2.0.

ClipDesk has expanded beyond PDF import into a fuller research system: capture useful source material, organize your library, speed up clipping, manage local data, and export your work into the tools you already use.

    What’s new since 0.2.0:
    • Improved PDF handling and clearer import states
    • Better local research library organization
    • Bulk clip actions and bulk export workflows
    • Faster capture workflows with context menu and shortcut support

    • JSON backup/export
