About
OctoNext adds a file tree to GitHub. It puts a fast, collapsible code tree beside any github.com repository so you can open folders, read files, search, download, and review pull requests without GitHub reloading the whole page every time. WHAT IT DOES - Tree navigation: browse the full repo in a sidebar with lazy-loaded folders, expand/collapse all, and keyboard navigation. Your scroll position stays put. - Fuzzy search: type to filter the entire tree instantly, with matches highlighted. - Pull-request panel: state, changed-file counts, a searchable file list, labels, reviewers, and comments, all in the sidebar instead of the diff page. - Smart downloads: one file downloads directly; pick several files or folders and get a single path-preserving ZIP. - Inline sizes: repository, folder, and file sizes shown right in the tree. - Bookmarks: save repositories and jump back any time. - Made yours: VS Code-style file icons, 17 themes (5 animated), and 8 coding fonts, all with live preview. - Flexible layout: dock left or right, resize, pin open. GitHub Enterprise supported per domain. WHY INSTALL IT - Saves time on every repo you read or review. No more full-page reloads to open one folder. - No sign-in for public repos. It just works. A token is needed only for private repositories. - Private by design. No servers, no analytics, no telemetry. It collects nothing. Requests go only to the GitHub API for the repository you are viewing, and your token, if you add one, is stored locally and sent only to GitHub. - Free and open source (MIT).
