About

RiskSentinel – Website Scam & Risk Checker

RiskSentinel is a browser extension that checks the website you are currently visiting and shows how risky or safe it appears before you log in, enter personal information, or make a payment. It gives you a clear risk score, a simple risk level, and an explanation of what was found so you can make better decisions while browsing. If you often shop online, apply for jobs, or click links from email or social media, RiskSentinel adds an extra layer of protection.

When you run a scan, RiskSentinel looks at several parts of the website:
     -Whether the site uses HTTPS
-How old the domain appears to be
     -Certificate history
-Page content for common scam patterns
     -Checkout and external payment links

It combines these checks into one easy-to-understand score.

Key Features:
-One-click scan of the current site
     -Risk score (0–100)
-Low, Medium, or High risk label
     -Top red flags
     -Legitimate signals that lower risk
     -Checkout and external link inspection
-Optional Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal checks
     -Local scan history
     -Explainable results

Why Install RiskSentinel? Many scam sites are new and disappear quickly. They may not show up on blocklists yet. RiskSentinel looks at behavior and technical patterns, which helps identify suspicious sites even when they are brand new. It helps you:
     -Avoid fake stores
     -Avoid phishing pages
     -Spot suspicious job sites
     -Catch sketchy payment pages
-Feel more confident before entering information

We care about your privacy:
     -No ads
     -No trackers
     -No selling of data
-All scanning happens locally in your browser
-Optional API keys are stored locally
     -Open Sourced

RiskSentinel gives you a fast, simple way to check if a website looks safe or suspicious before you interact with it.

Install RiskSentinel to browse with more confidence.
