Changelog
- May 10, 2026description
A11y Button and Link Check - Accessible Link & Button Inspector A11y Button and Link Check is a lightweight Chrome extension for designers, developers, and accessibility professionals who want fast insight into how interactive elements are exposed to assistive technologies. With a single click, A11y Button and Link Check scans the current page and lists all links and buttons together with their computed accessible names, roles, focusability, and ARIA sources. It also performs practical, real-world accessibility checks to help you spot common issues early: • Duplicate accessible names on the same page • Missing or empty labels • Language mismatches between page and labels (currently only basic EN/DE/FR/IT/NL detection) • Overly long or complex labels that may be hard to understand with screen readers Results are shown in a searchable popup table. Clicking any row highlights the corresponding element directly on the page. You can filter by links, buttons, focusable elements, unnamed controls, or elements with issues, and export the results as JSON or CSV for documentation or audits. Key features ✓ Extract accessible names with source (aria-label, aria-labelledby, label, text, alt, etc.) ✓ Detect duplicate names, language mismatches, and complex labels ✓ Highlight elements on the page ✓ Search and filter results instantly ✓ Export to JSON or CSV ✓ No tracking, no external services - everything runs locally in your browser A11y Button and Link Check is designed as a practical companion for WCAG reviews, QA workflows, and everyday accessibility debugging.
