About

API Recorder helps developers inspect API activity from the current browser tab in a focused Chrome Side Panel.

It automatically captures fetch and XMLHttpRequest calls, then displays each request in an API list with method, URL, status, and duration. Selecting a request opens a dedicated details view where you can inspect request metadata, request headers, response headers, and request body. Each details section can be viewed in a structured inspect mode or JSON mode, and copied with one click.

API Recorder includes recording controls, manual refresh, optional auto refresh, current page reload, URL search, memory usage visibility, and Postman Collection export.

Captured request data is kept in memory only. The extension does not persist captured requests to local storage, does not send captured data to external servers, and does not require a backend service.
